For vacationers that don’t like to plan their trips in advance, the last minute cruise might be the answer.  What is a last minute cruise?  It is a type of cruise that is scheduled less than a month in advance.  And, despite what many may believe, the last minute cruise can actually offer a wealth of discounts.  This is because they tend to reflect the vacation packages that cruise liners are struggling to sell.

Of course, there are downsides to the last minute cruise.  Vacationers may not be able to get the rooms of their choice.  They may also miss out on excursions, since there isn’t enough time to sign up for them.  Worst of all, travelers usually do not have a choice when it comes to their destination.  Indeed, if one is looking for a last minute cruise, they have to take whatever is available. 

Yet, even with all the disadvantages, it’s still nice to know that if a person wants to go on a cruise at the end of the week, they can.
