Staying Safe on a Cruise

March 4th, 2008 by Kristina Choi · No Comments

For the majority of people, taking a cruise is a pleasant experience. But there are a few people that encounter serious problems when they go on a cruise. These problems can include stalking, rape, illness and even murder. To make matters even worse, when these things happen often there is not any justice. This is because most of the time the cruise industry is so busy trying to cover up negative incidents occurring on their ships.

Fortunately, there is a way cruisers can protect themselves. In the book Unsafe on the High Seas, author Charles R. Lipcon, (a former lawyer who is an expert in cruise line law), explains what cruisers can do to improve their safety. The book also talks about how cruisers can still get justice even if the worst case scenario happens to themselves or their loved ones. Indeed, it is an invaluable resource for anyone wanting to take a cruise, whether they are newbies to the cruising world or old-timers.
