For vacationers that don’t like to plan their trips in advance, the last minute cruise might be the answer.  What is a last minute cruise?  It is a type of cruise that is scheduled less than a month in advance.  And, despite what many may believe, the last minute cruise can actually offer a wealth of discounts.  This is because they tend to reflect the vacation packages that cruise liners are struggling to sell.

For the majority of people, taking a cruise is a pleasant experience. But there are a few people that encounter serious problems when they go on a cruise. These problems can include stalking, rape, illness and even murder. To make matters even worse, when these things happen often there is not any justice. This is because most of the time the cruise industry is so busy trying to cover up negative incidents occurring on their ships.

A small chink was made in the tension between China and Taiwan on Monday when the ban on Chinese entering the country via sea was lifted for 700 Chinese cruisers aboard the Rhapsody of the Seas.

 Previously, Chinese tourists could enter Taiwan only by plane, and at a limit of 1,000 maximum at any given time.

Could this small concession for Chinese pleasure-seekers be the beginning of a better relationship between China and Taiwan? 

Do you want to experience what a cruise is like without having to spend thousands of dollars to do it?  Then you should consider going on a dinner cruise.  For less than $100 per person, a dinner cruise will allow you to experience the many of the luxuries of cruising for a few hours.  And contrary to its namesake, dinner cruising can take place in the morning or in the evening.

If you are an Internet guru who also loves cruising, you may find yourself in a dilemma when you go on your next trip.  Sure, in theory you should be so enamored with all of the cruise’s activities that you shouldn’t have interest in the Internet, but for many the issue isn’t that simple.  The Internet has become such a necessity in people’s lives that the thought of having to go just a day without it could make people feel just a little out of place.  Fortunately, Internet technology has progressed so much that it is possible to get high-speed wireless Internet right on a cruise ship. 

Cruise ship staterooms are where you stay during the time you are on a cruise.  They come in several different categories.  The cheapest and most basic cruise ship stateroom is known as an inside cabin.  They are small, have no windows but can be quieter than other staterooms, since they are located in the interior of the ship.  If you are low on money and plan on not spending much time in your stateroom, inside cabins are the way to go.

If you are a single man between the ages of 40 and 70, and you have a talent for dancing, you may want to consider signing up to be a gentleman host on a luxury cruise ship. What is a gentleman host? They teach dance classes and agree to be dance partners for single women. In return for their services, they will receive free room and board during the time they are on the cruise. They may also get a small stipend.

When most people prepare for their cruise trip, they have to place their pets in a kennel. This is because the majority of commercial cruise ships won’t allow pets, for two reasons. The first is due to health concerns, since it can be difficult getting an animal to relieve itself on a cruise ship in a sanitary manner. The second is in regards to the legalities that arise in allowing animals to enter the ports at which a cruise ship docks.

Being in the military can earn you a lot of perks, but few are aware that some cruise lines are offering free cruises for military personnel. Discovery Cruise Line is an example. Since 2003 Discovery Cruise Line has given hundreds of free cruises for military personnel. The only requirement is that the person must have served in Iraq or Afghanistan during the year in which the free cruise is being offered.

Secular cruises could offer temptations that many Christians would prefer not to be exposed to. For example, with a secular cruise, there is alcohol, gambling and other forms of entertainment that may not be in lieu with a Christian lifestyle, at least if the person is more conservative. Fortunately, Christians can still have fun on a cruise… they may just want to consider taking special Christian cruises.
