If you are a single man between the ages of 40 and 70, and you have a talent for dancing, you may want to consider signing up to be a gentleman host on a luxury cruise ship. What is a gentleman host? They teach dance classes and agree to be dance partners for single women. In return for their services, they will receive free room and board during the time they are on the cruise. They may also get a small stipend.

There is just one downside. In order to be a gentleman host on a cruise, you must agree that you won’t be romantically involved with the guests. It doesn’t matter if you are dancing with them or meet them during your time off. For many single men, such a stipulation may defeat the purpose of going on a cruise anyway. But then again there are some people that just aren’t interested in a relationship. So for them being a gentleman host can be a fun way to get a free cruise and maybe even a little bit of spending money.

To become a gentleman host, you must apply at the entertainment department of the cruise line you’re interested in. If you need help in this process, you can work with an employment agency that specializes in helping people find jobs on cruise ships.
